Fully equipped for a wide range of mechanical services, our in-house Master Mechanic has 10 years experience, having specialised previously in BMW and Jaguar Land Rover. We cater for routine maintenance, as well as clutches, tyres, AC regassing, MOTs and specialised diagnostics.

Whether you need routine servicing, a fault diagnosed, or a major repair, our workshop is set up to handle the job properly. We focus on correct processes, quality parts, and clear communication—so you know exactly what’s being done and why.

ZF Automatic Transmission Servicing (6HP & 8HP)

We also specialise in Auto Transmission Servicing. The ZF 6HP and 8HP automatic transmissions are incredible units and are fitted to a large range of cars from Jaguar Land Rover and BMW, and many more. It is often the belief that these are ‘filled for life’ and don’t need servicing, but this is not true. ZF themselves recommend a service every 50k miles on these transmissions, and we carry out a full service on these, involving replacing the filter - not just flushing the fluid leaving the old contaminated filter in place.

Servicing the transmission is one of the smartest preventative jobs you can do on higher-mileage vehicles, especially if you plan to keep the car. Clean fluid and a fresh filter help protect the valve body and internal clutch packs, maintain consistent shift quality, and reduce heat-related wear.

Performance Upgrades & Modifications

As well as maintenance and repair, we carry out a whole host of performance upgrades here in the HLX Performance workshop. Everything from aesthetic modifications such as splitters and diffusers, to downpipes, exhausts and suspension upgrades. Our state of the art facility is fully equipped to handle all manner of upgrades, and we can use our first hand experience to advise on the best mods for your particular car and use case.
